The skies wept for a hundred nights when Faamaba Kankan slew Mansa Nebu I the Jackal upon the Star Throne. His body was cast off the edge of the Greatest City and the blood of his children stained many blades, their bodies lost to the Great Gears and forgotten. Perhaps Mansa Nebu II the Prophet spoke Truth upon Khurun that his host appeared from the deserts. That monsters and champions and the gifts of Aja're came to him and brought about this golden age. Many are the heirs to his legacy and many covet his place. Miradj'Dah rules the skies in peace for now, yet snakes do slither even in Nzuri's plane and warhounds do bark. Something stirs in The Prophet's domain...
Yma Dyalah'joli the Gold Sage

Princess Yma Dyalah'joli is the eldest daughter of Nebu II the Prophet, though not his eldest child. That honor went to his heir by Faamaba Surayaa the Lioness, Mari-jata. Born as the lovechild of a consort, Yma was raised at court and played with the young prince as children. She was always quiet, yet her mind was sharp and so her father the Mansa ensured she had the greatest tutors available to her. She caught the attention of the Suma quite young and has trained among their ranks into adulthood, her mind astonishing to even some of the wisest in their order. Yma learned from mechanists and sages and scholars, her vast mind retaining their teachings and going far beyond. Outside of her royal blood, her achievements in innovating magitech both within and outside of the Greatest City is well known. Her new Ornothopter design may well change the way aerial warfare is conducted for Miradj'Dah in the coming centuries. She is as comfortable in a laboratory as she is at court and with a mind as sharp as her's, there is little she misses.
There is something that eludes her, however.
Despite her vast intellect, the one thing she hasn't come to understand is her father's power over The Truth. Whatever power that makes his words a reality. With such a power, how might she write her own chapter in history? How might she outdo herself and even the mighty Nebu the Prophet? Ambition leads her down a path that is perhaps even too dark for her brilliant mind.
(More to come.)
